Discover the famous vineyards of the Rhine Valley. Stop in Eltville or its surroundings. Then, we'll continue on to Wiesbaden, well-known for its longstanding hot springs and casino. We'll begin our tour by a panoramic visit of the city and its main monuments. We'll pass by some magnificent 19th-century homes before reaching the old city. The residences, inspired by various historical styles, impart a unique atmosphere to the city. You'll see the Wiesbaden City Palace, completed in 1841 and used as the main city residence of the Dukes of Nassau; the Old Town Hall dating from the 17th century; and the brick, neo-Gothic Marktkirche built between 1853 and 1862. You'll also pass by the Kurhaus, a historical monument that is now the center of varied social activities and events. Its "Bowling Green” garden with two three-bowled cascade fountains is bordered by 160 year-old trees. Afterwards, we'll return to the ship by coach.
