Bavaria

Breakfast will be served at the hotel. In the morning, departure by coach for a guided tour of the Neuschwanstein Castle. Neuschwanstein was built for the Bavarian king Ludwig II (1845 - 1886); construction began in 1868 but was never fully completed. The king envisioned his castle as a monument to the culture and concept of monarchy prevalent in the Middle Ages, which he greatly admired and wanted to recreate (our ticket to Neuschwanstein Castle includes the shuttle bus to the main drop off point but guests will still need to walk 15 minutes from that point to the castle). Lunch on your own in the village of Hohenschwangau, a charming village nestled in the Bavarian Alps of Germany, renowned for its stunning natural beauty. Return to Munich by coach. Free time in the city. For dinner, we’ll have a traditional meal. Night at the hotel.
