CroisiEurope Photo Tour: What I’m Most Excited About
With only a week to go until my first cruise, I think it’s finally sinking in that this internship of a lifetime is actually happening.
Sometimes, I have a hard time believing that it’s all real. Just a month ago, I was a sleep-deprived student studying madly for final exams… and here I am now, a week away from living out my dream job. For the past few weeks, I’ve had an unshakable grin on my face from all the excitement… and with just a few sleeps until I board my plane for Paris, the anticipation is all too real.
So, what is it that I’m most excited for? Well…
The itinerary for this trip is packed full of places I’ve long dreamt about. Whether it’s slurping up pho in Vietnam, dipping my toes in the Adriatic or prancing through colourful Murano, I’ll be crossing items off my bucket list all summer long. The next three months will take me across 14 countries, and after two monotonous semesters of school, my restless heart is more than ready to wake up someplace new every day.
I am constantly eating, so it seems like a given that I’m eagerly awaiting the delicious on-board cuisine! If photos and sample menus are any indication, I will be very well fed for the next three months. From breakfast buffets in the morning to three course meals every lunch and dinner, I can say with certainty that CroisiEurope’s chefs and open bar will quickly become my best friends. Of course, I’ll also be sampling local foods whenever I can and indulging in daily scoops of gelato.
As a student, I’m no stranger to stress. The past few months have consisted of non-stop work and school, with little time to relax or unwind. At this point, nothing sounds more wonderful than lazily floating down rivers with a glass of fine wine in-hand. River cruising is very different from any travelling I’ve done before, so having this relaxed experience will be a welcome change of pace. With that said, CroisiEurope’s action-packed excursions will ensure that I never have a dull moment, so I definitely feel like I’m getting the best of both worlds.
Although it’s technically ‘work’, I can’t wait to document my adventures and share them with you all! As much as I love eating and sightseeing, there’s an even greater sense of fulfillment that comes with perfectly capturing these moments and sharing them with others. The world is a very big place, full of beautiful destinations, incredible stories and more greatness than we could ever see in one lifetime. Through sharing my experiences, I hope to show you the world through my eyes and encourage you to explore a little more often.
So readers, the next time you hear from me, I’ll be 5000 miles away from home. For the next three months, I’ll be living out of a suitcase, jumping from place to place and seeing the world like I’ve always wanted to. Everyday will bring something new, and I can’t wait to share every bit with you. Travelling alone isn’t always easy, but I think with all of you tagging along, I’ll be more than okay.
Thanks for reading and I’ll talk to you all soon… in Paris!
